Leadership Philosophy

Culture is the product.

I believe in servant leadership — that leadership transcends title and position. The strongest teams I've built weren't defined by technical credentials alone, but by the culture we created together. I hold these values equal to technical acumen.

01
📖

Learning over Expertise

Curiosity outlasts credentials. A team that hungers to learn will outpace a team that rests on what it already knows.

02
⚖️

Substance over Style

Impressive-sounding work and truly impactful work are not the same thing. I hold myself and my teams to the latter.

03
🎯

Taking Ownership

Problems don't belong to job descriptions. When something matters, we own it — from conception through delivery and beyond.

04
🔁

Embracing Failure

Failure is data. The teams that move fastest aren't fearless — they're quick to fail, quick to learn, and quick to share what they found.

05
📡

Open Communication

Regular, honest communication isn't a soft skill — it's the connective tissue of every successful project I've led.

Approach

How I think
about the work.

I've spent two decades at the intersection of complex domains — census research, biosciences, diagnostic medicine — and the common thread has always been the same: the best digital products start with deeply understanding the people they serve.

I lead with evidence over assumption. When something isn't working, I want data, not opinions. When we commit to a direction, I want the team behind it — not just compliance with it.

My job is to remove obstacles, create clarity, and make sure the right people are in the room when decisions get made. Team comes first. Communication is key. Build the right thing in the right order. Fail, learn from evidence, persevere or pivot, share, repeat.

In Practice

  • Team comes first.
  • Communication is key.
  • Build the right thing in the right order.
  • Fail, learn from evidence.
  • Persevere or pivot.
  • Share, repeat.
